Buy/sell stocks/bonds ... amass your fortune ... you win! |
Wall Street up/down has all the thrills, realism and suspense of the real market. Read the clues, analyze the market's mood, then decide what to do... buy, sell or hold... if you're right your wealth soars ... be the first to amass the game-winning millions ! ! ! |
Learn stock market concepts as you play |
Wall Street up/down is not only great family fun, it's a learning tool. Playing the game teaches how the stock market interacts with socio-economic forces, shows the impact of interest rates on investment strategy, and speaks in market terminology and lingo. However, no prior knowledge of the stock market is required to play our game. The game's "Player's Investment Advisor" is an equalizer---12 year olds compete with, and beat, their broker, lawyer or Alan Greenspan-economist, parents and grandparents. |
Wall Street up/down, a game of strategy |
This multi-faceted game of daring and wit presents all the twists and turns of the real markets. You read the clues to future market movements, then decide if it's time to sink your saving into stocks, get the "heck" out , buy bonds (in anticipation of a downturn), act on a "hot tip", feast on the windfall profits of a tender offer, or literally go for broke---borrowing big and pirating the other players' stock in hostile takeovers. |
Be prepared to live with your decisions. |
If you invest in bonds, your wealth may steadily grow, but watch the signs, for if stocks rebound you better switch quick ! or, you'll be on the sideline watching other players making millions. If you borrow funds for a hostile takeover, be sure your stock of choice continues its upswing. Otherwise, when the bank calls in its loan you may find yourself on the short-end before the dreaded Bankruptcy Court --- ordered to sell stock to raise the money needed to repay debts. And, if you exploit those "hot" market tips----the SEC is ever-watching, ready to levy big fines on insider traders. Even if the SEC doesn't snag you, there's still the legal-beagles of the other game-players ready to take you down in a mega-bucks class-action suit ! |
Market forces in Wall Street up/down play out with amazing realism. |
Based on years of data gathering and analysis, the concepts used in Wall Street up/down mirror real market forces. Built into the game are all the market's rascals----market mood-swings (fluctuating prices, at times soaring, at other times plummeting with little warning); out-of-the-blue, unpredictable price corrections (sudden, temporary market reversal); gyrating interest rates; or just plain ornery greed and the randomness of chance. In addition to keeping within the framework of good old Alan-Greenspan economics, the many facets of Wall Street up/down keeps the game fresh and alive with all the indigenous beat of Wall Street----no two game sessions play alike. Note---For those interested in the play of advanced investment vehicles---junk bonds, put and call options, selling short, etc., these game addition will be shortly available. |
Well known, real-life corporations adds more realism. |
To increase realism, Wall Street up/down is licensed to use the name and logo of well known blue chip corporations in the play of the game. You buy and sell stock of companies, and borrow money from banks you know and do business with every day in the real world. If you are a major stock brokerage firm or a New York Stock exchange listed corporation and you would like to join other prestigious corporations on our game board---click here for details ! |
